Coface India Credit Management Services Private Limited – POSH Policy

Coface India Credit Management Services Private Limited (“Coface”) is committed to provide a work environment free from harassment and provides equal opportunities to all its associates without regard to their sex, race, caste, religion, colour, ancestry, marital status, age, nationality or disability. 

Equality in employment can be seriously impaired when a person is subjected to gender bias and sexual harassment in the work place. 

Coface observes zero tolerance for sexual harassment in any form and offenders shall be subject to stringent action as per this policy and the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013 (“Act”).

POSH Policy is formulated to achieve the below objectives:

  • To prohibit Sexual harassment
  • To educate the employees about what conduct constitutes sexual harassment.
  • To provide the guidelines for preventing inappropriate workplace behaviour of sexual harassment.
  • To encourage employees to adhere to their responsibilities of preventing and reporting such inappropriate conduct before it becomes severe or pervasive.
  • To provide a timely and fair mechanism for handling and resolving of any such complaints promptly, confidentially, sensitively, by following due process according to the principles of natural justice.

Coface POSH Policy extends to all employees of the Company and also prohibits sexual harassment by any non-Coface employee or business partners towards any employee of Coface. The policy covers all allegations of sexual harassment irrespective of whether such an act is alleged to have taken place within or outside Coface premises, arising out of or during the course of employment, including official travel, conferences, training programs, work assignments outside Coface premises, transportation provided by Coface.

Sexual Harassment would mean any one or more of the following acts of unwelcome sexually determined acts or behaviour (whether directly or by implication), namely:

  • Physical contact and advances including touching, stalking
  • sounds which have explicit and /or implicit sexual connotation/  - overtones or molestation
  • A demand or request for sexual favours
  • Sexually coloured remarks
  • Showing pornography
  • Any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of sexual nature including but not limited to:

 The following circumstances, among other circumstances, if it occurs  or is present in relation to or connected with any act or behaviour of  Sexual Harassment may amount to Sexual  harassment:

  • Implied or explicit promise of preferential treatment in the  Employment.
  • Implied or explicit threat or detrimental treatment in the employment.  
  • Implied or explicit threat about the present or future employment status 
  • Interference with the work or creating an intimidating or offensive or hostile work environment
  • Humiliating treatment likely to affect health or safety
